Sterile Compounded Medications

Our facility is rigorously cleaned and routinely inspected as per the required USP 797 standards. In addition to standard sterile certification, Potter’s House Apothecary has received accreditation from the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB®) for meeting and/or exceeding national quality standards for standard and sterile compounding.

Our lab personnel have been certified in aseptic technique and perform all sterile compounding with absolute care. They follow stringent compounding techniques and preparation, as well as proper storage and handling of all chemicals. Our staff also regularly attends continuing education programs for the latest training and techniques in sterile preparations.

Our pharmacy has documented standard operating procedure (SOPs) to provide the same quality product each time. All compounded medications meet strict sterility and potency testing requirements of the finished medication. The preparation testing is performed by a 3rd party facility and is documented and maintained on file. Potter’s House Apothecary is also a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Partner. We have established a culture of continuous improvement that uses a cyclical process of testing, analysis, and consulting, to always maintain the highest standards for our compounded medications.
