ALL NATURAL, PHARMACEUTICAL-GRADE CBD PRODUCTS
We have partnered with Ananda Professional to provide high quality, full-spectrum CBD products.
CBD stands for cannabidiol (can·na·bid·i·ol), which is one of 104 chemical compounds naturally found in the hemp/cannabis plant. These compounds are generally referred to as “cannabinoids.” CBD oil is made by extracting CBD from the plant, then diluting it with a carrier oil such as coconut or hemp seed oil. CBD oil is available over-the-counter, without a prescription.
CBD works through a system called the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS is believed to primarily regulate your mood, sleep/wake cycle, HPA axis, inflammatory responses, and immune system.
Studies have suggested that CBD may safely improve symptoms related to ailments such as chronic pain, insomnia, inflammation, anxiety, depression, acne, neurological disorders, high blood pressure and some side effects related to cancer treatment such as nausea, vomiting, appetite loss and pain.
If you are suffering from one or more of these ailments, our pharmacists recommend adding CBD to your healthcare regimen.

Will CBD make me feel “high”?
No. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the main psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis, which causes the sensation of getting “high” that is associated with marijuana. However, unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive and does not produce intoxicating effects. Though Ananda Professional CBD products contain trace amounts of THC, at less than 0.3%, they are fully compliant with state and federal laws and regulations.
Will I test positive for THC on a drug test?
Ananda Professional’s products have a low THC level of less than 0.3%. A patient would have to consume a high amount of product to test positive on a THC test. Unfortunately, there is not a specific threshold that could potentially cause a person to fail a drug test, as metabolism is individualized and depends on body composition, activity level, dose, duration of use, etc.
For patients who are concerned about the THC content of the “Full-Spectrum” products, Potter’s House Apothecary also carries a “THC-Free” alternative. This product has absolutely no THC in it and is ideal for people whose employers have restrictive drug testing policies, including first responders, pilots, drivers, military personnel, and patients in substance abuse programs. We suggest speaking with your employer or healthcare provider before taking CBD. We can provide you with an informational letter to help you start the conversation.
Are there any side effects?
CBD is very well-tolerated by most people. However, if side effects do occur, the most common side effects are: fatigue, changes in appetite, diarrhea, drowsiness and dry mouth.
